Tequila tasted like tequila…I like tequila

So last night was the big event. After swashing the berry in my mouth for 2.5 minutes I dash over to the citrus platter. The lemons, limes, and grapefruit tasted damn good. Kinda like a sour patch kid on steroids, but not super sweet like they said. So, Rachel and I start to make our rounds. Gorgonzola? Tastes like Gorgonzola. Pickles taste like what? Pickles. (mmm) Radishes, cheese, grapes, olives, vinegar, oh my! All the same thing. And Tequila? You guessed it.Gorgonzola So it’s technically a bust. But not to fret. Brush my shoulder off. Tequila, snacks, and Max are good enough for me. It turns out that interesting, kind, and well read people come to events like this. Thanks Clifford Endo.

Update: According to the ones who were indeed affected by this berry: “strawberries taste like cartoons” and “Guinness tastes like molasses.” (mheck!)

Brooklyn Ingredients

Bushwick, Brooklyn is where I reside. This Blog will be a smorgasbord of my life happenings and New York City happenings-i.e. art, culture, people.  Tonight I will be eating Sysepalum Dulficum (a West African berry) and drinking chocolate milkshakes in the form of Guinness. We call this Flavortripping. Photos to come. Peace. Love.
